CHEESE BALLS RECIPE


The cheese balls are a very easy and quick snack to make. You will only need a few ingredients, very easy to obtain and you will get a small spectacular snack. To make them, we will need mozzarella cheese. In some establishments they sell them made in small balls, ideal as a portion. If you do not find it that way, you can also use a whole ball, cut in taquitos. They will not have the exact shape of a ball, but otherwise, it will remain exactly the same. The ingredients to prepare the cheese balls are:

INGREDIENTS FOR SOME CHEESE BALLS FOR 2 PEOPLE:


  • 1 scoop of mozzarella cheese or about 15 pearls (balls)
  • 1 egg
  • flour
  • bread crumbs
  • Oil

RECIPE OF CHEESE BALLS:


1.- If we have the whole mozzarella ball, we cut it into tacos of about the same size. If we have the pearls, we omit this step
2.- Now, it is as simple as breading each ball or cheese portion. We passed it first by flour, then by beaten egg, to which we put a small pinch of salt and then by bread crumbs
3.- To achieve an extra layer of breaded, we can once again pass the pearl by beaten egg and bread crumbs. This step is completely optional and with it, we will achieve a crunchier outer layer
4.- We keep on patching all the cheese and we keep it on a plate. Once done, we keep it in the fridge for one hour, so that the dough sits well
5.- Done this, fry them in abundant oil over a very high heat. Fry for about 30 seconds. Enough for the outer layer to take a golden color and the cheese to warm up. It is important not to leave it long because otherwise the cheese will expand when heated and the balls will burst in the oil.
6.- Remove the oil and let it rest on absorbent paper

It's that easy to have your recipe for cheese balls . If you want, you can substitute the mozzarella for another cheese, like Gouda or Emmental.
