Individual meatloaf, recipe step by step

This recipe for individual meatloaf is an adaptation of another recipe that I found in a recipe book of the nineteenth century. In a few words we could say that it is a great dish for a quick and easy dinner on Monday nights, especially if you make it on Sunday. Once ready, the meatloaf can be left in the fridge and, before serving, you should only heat it in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 200g of minced meat
  • 50g bacon
  • 25g of butter
  • ½ onion
  • 1 tablespoon fried tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of meat broth
  • 400g of mashed potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • Frying oil

Elaboration step by step

1. Preheat oven to 160 ° C.

2. Chop the bacon and place it in a pan with the butter, chopped onion, meat, beef broth, chopped fresh parsley and fried tomato sauce. Cook for a few minutes until the meat is ready.
3. Season with salt and ground black pepper. Mix very well and divide into four portions.
4. Season the mashed potatoes with salt and ground black pepper and divide into eight equal portions.
5. Place four stainless steel rings to cook on a tray and place a layer of mashed potatoes on the base.
6. Add a portion of minced meat on the mashed potatoes and place the second and last layer of mashed potatoes on top to form a meatloaf .
7. Lightly press the back of a spoon onto the top layer of mashed potatoes and bring to the oven for 15-20 minutes.
8. If you wish, you can place some slices of ham and cheese a few minutes before removing from the oven. Serve the meat pies and accompany with a salad.
