Burritos de carne, refried beans and avocado recipe step by step


The burrito, also called taco de harina, is a dish of Mexican cuisine that consists of making a wheat tortilla rolled in a cylindrical way like a cannelloni, in which it is filled with meat and refried beans, among other ingredients such as tomato, the avocado, etcetera. The good thing about this recipe is that your whole family can enjoy delicious burritos in Mexico or in any other country. Remember that the flour tortillas used to prepare burritos should be about 25 cm in diameter; the cheese you buy should melt and the refried beans can be bought canned or prepared at home. Keep reading to learn how to make meat burritos, refried beans and avocado .

Ingredients

  • 500g of beef fillets
  • 200g of refried beans
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 6 flour tortillas 25-30cm in diameter
  • 450g of avocados
  • 400g of tomatoes
  • 100g of lettuce
  • 70g of onion
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and ground black pepper

Elaboration step by step

1. For the filling of the Mexican burritos , wash the lettuce and cut it into strips.
2. Wash the tomatoes, peel the onion and cut both into small squares.
3. Cut the fillets of beef into small squares and sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
4. Put the olive oil in a pan and bring to the fire. When hot, add the squares of beef and fry for four minutes or until well cooked.
5. Remove the stone and pulp from the avocados and cut them into strips.
6. Heat the refried beans in the microwave for a minute and a half and then heat the flour tortillas one by one on a griddle for about 30 seconds on each side.
7. Spread the center of the tortillas with refried beans and place on top of them some grated cheese, roast beef, onion, tomato, avocado and lettuce.
8. Room to taste, fold the ends of the meat and avocado burritos inwards and roll as if it were a cannelloni or taco.
